The ABC's of Spring 2011

For the past couple of weeks, I have guided you fashion girlies through the seemingly fashionable letters (who knew the alphabet was so fashionable) of the alphabet and now we are finally at the end. X, Y and Z required a bit of creativity in terms of wording, but will not fail to whet your style appetite.

There is nothing worse than seeing a woman in an ill-fitting outfit. Whether
it's casual or formal, fit and cut are key. If your favourite skirt or blazer is just that one
size off, take it to your tailor to see if it can be altered to fit your body perfectly.
Seriously, your tailor should be your wardrobe's best friend.
Easter egg pastels and Crayola brights bring me back to grade school and I think we owe it to our sartorial selves to reference back to the time when our greatest worry was learning how to double-dutch (the day I learned to double-dutch the hallelujah chorus chimed loudly). In short, have fun with colour and prints and graphics.
These images make me want to curl up with a zen tea on my leather couch and just (fashionably) relax with no interruptions. Just because you are home doesn't mean you should instantly resort to your college sweatpants. Do yourself the favour and spruce up your homebody attire with, for example, a pair of Marc Jacobs Mouse Slippers or über soft knits .
